Pay specific attention to the section regarding his work on Frankenstein and how he is able to describe the creative process of designing such incredible monsters.

TED Talk- The role of Technology in a revolution

 

TED TALK-  In case you're not familiar with TED; you are missing out.  TED is a series of lectures and speeches that are no longer than 10-15 minutes.   These people are successful, interesting, and accomplished.   Bill Gates is a frequent speech giver.   Wadah Khanfar is the Director General of Al Jazeera and discusses the importance of technology as a tool to create change within the middle east.  How can these level of changes prevent violence?   Is it possible for the use of social networking to bring social change?  Do you think this will continue to be a peaceful regime change?

AlJezeera- A Libyan senior official is seeking talks with Greece and Turkey.  Please watch the video and read the article.  Greece seems to be playing an important role in the discussion and it seems to be certainly an economic interest.   What do you think the final outcome of the situation will be?

National Public Radio-Audio File-Besides from his influence on spray on deodorant advertisements   Garbiel Garcia Marquez is an intriguing and Pulitzer prize winning author.   He wrote "The Old Man with Large Wings".  In this piece an author describes her meeting the somewhat allusive and creator of Magical Realism.  If you are in to writing, this is a good piece on how an author works or is constantly working.  What can you infer regarding Marquez creative process?  (click on listen)
