Former President Jimmy Carter answers questions about Sudan

In this article, formwr president Jimmy Carter discusses the January elections that took place in Sudan. The article is in a Question and Answer format where people were able to submit questions. This is a great plave for us to start the blog because of curriculum relevancy but also as a connection to our Middle East unit. A lot of the same questions that we tackled regarding U.S. interest and reasoning for extending aid are discussed and similar situations and connections could be made to various countries. Your assignment is to try and make those connections. Find a connection to a country where we might be concentrating aid or political interest and draw a paralell. Finally, take a stance. Develop a brief educated opinion based on the information that is in the article. Once someone makes a connection, try to build off their ideas, or disagree with them.
